ProTraining pet First Aid Pet of the Week - Tilly

Tilly is a black Labrador. She will be 3 years old in September and I've had her since April last year. As you can see from her photo she is a qualified assistance dog with Dog A.I.D ( Assistance In Disability).

She has so changed my life. Not only am I no longer invisible when I'm out in my wheelchair, I now have a constant friend with me. I live on my own and, after the death of my last dog, was very lonely and lacked any confidence to go out.

Tilly has learnt to help me very quickly and passed her qualified status in February. She now undresses me at night, helps with taking coats off during the day, she unloads the washing machine then passes the items to me in the garden to go on the line. If I move anywhere without my mobile phone ( even if I go in to the garden) she will bring it to me without my asking her. She also opens and closes doors, turns lights on /off and presses door and lift call buttons. If she hears my printer starting up she will sit and wait for it to finish printing before bringing me the papers.

I could go on and on but I'm sure by now you will realise just what a star she is.
